"Jonathan's father was Samuel Campbell Clegg who was captured at the battle
of Kettle Creek and tried and hung as a Tory at the Fort at Ninety Six, SC.
His mother Barbara Maria Flick Clegg then married a "patriot" Nicholas
Glauzier who died and then she married Jacob Polatty, she outlived all
three of her husbands and died at the home of her daughter Elizabeth Clegg
Timmerman at the age of 105 in 1850. She is buried in the Timmerman family
cemetery in Edgefield Co, SC."
