Doris Fae Morgan Douglas was born in Georgia on July 14, 1903, the daughter of Rufus Lester Morgan, Sr. and Frances Victoria Burns Morgan. Doris married Elmo F. Douglas who became a fire chief in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. They had one child, Doris Betty Douglas Neely. She died at age 79 on November 13, 1982 in Savannah. She is buried beside her husband in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah.
