Elizabeth Augusta Shortess was the daughter of Thomas A. and Mary Augusta Shortess.of Beavertown, Synder County, Pennsylvania. After Harry B. Marshall’s first marriage ended in divorce he married Elizabeth in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada on the 11th of July 1928. The marriage record there shows Elizabeth as a 41 year old spinster born in Beavertown, Pennsylvania.
Harry was a railroad worker so it is not surprising that he changed residences often. In 1930 he and Elizabeth were living in Moscow, Maine. In 1935 they were in Bangor, Maine and by 1940 they had moved to Beavertown, Pennslyvania.
Sometime after Harry died in 1960 Elizabeth moved to Florida where some of Harry’s children and moved. She died there in Sarasota in 1969.
