William T. Goddard, 85, a retired farmer, died Monday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ada Sims, 101 South Third street. A native of Putnam county, he married Mary A. Bugg in 1872, and she died in 1888. Besides the daughter, he leaves two brothers, Albert Goddard, Lafayette, and Clay Goddard, Danville, 111., also two sisters, Mrs. Betty Hendricks, Lafayette, and Mrs. Robert Naeni, Chicago. Friends may call at the Soller and Baker funeral home, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. Burial in Spring Vale cemetery.
