Al was born on September 8, 1926 in St. Joseph to Otto Wolske & Mary Kublick. Al served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was stationed overseas with the First Infantry Division, and while in Augsburg, Germany he met the former Hildegard Podzuweit. They were married on October 20, 1951 in St. Peter's U.C.C. in St. Joseph. Al retired in 1988 after 24 years with the Berrien County Road Commission. He was a member of St. Peter's; American Legion Post 362; and a life member of VFW Post 1137.
Mr. Wolske is survived by his wife Hildegard; his daughter - Susan (Michael) Jewell of Benton Harbor; three brothers - Arthur (Elsie) Wolske; Eric C. Wolske (Helga); Orland Wolske (Ilda); all of Benton Harbor; one sister - Anita Ellis (Jerry) of Benton Harbor; a sister-in-law - Ella Schulke of St. Joseph; and ten nieces & nephews.
