Mrs. Irene Roach Orr, age 91, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joseph G. Orr, Sr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Mac Scales, Buford, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Gordon Orr, Jr. and wife, Martha, Greenville, SC, Guy Stanley Orr and wife, Norma, Simpsonville, SC, David Ray Orr and wife, Catherine, Albany, GA; 9 grandchildren, Joseph L. Orr, Jacob Orr, Joshua Orr, Erin Orr, Stephanie Orr, William Orr, Samuel Orr, Andrew Orr, Caroline Orr; 5 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nora Grace Roach, Lawrenceville, GA, Jackie and Bill Kenecht, Dacula, GA, Jean and Woodrow Stancil, Lawrenceville, GA; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Orr, Dacula, GA; sister-in-law, Sarah Orr, Atlanta, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Doug and Cheryl MacMillan, Sugar Hill, GA Teresa Todd, Lawrenceville, GA, Geneva Taylor, Sugar Hill, GA, Bernie Howington, Buford, GA, Edith Queen, Buford, GA. Mrs. Orr was born on September 20, 1915 in Milton County, GA. She was a retired seamstress from Lovable Company in Buford, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Sugar Hill. She and her husband, Joseph Orr, Sr. was one of the founding members of the Bogan Road Baptist Church in Buford, GA. She was a former Sunday School Teacher and also helped with Meals on Wheels. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Pitts and Rev. Hollis Benefield officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA.
