BURIAL BEN KENNEDY ATTENDED BY PROMINENT WACOANS
The funeral of Ben Kennedy, prominent McLennan county farmer and stockman, who died suddenly at his home at China Springs, Monday morning, took place Tuesday afternoon. Services were conducted at the family residence at 2 o'clock then the body was taken to the Methodist church at China Springs in the motor hearse of Undertaker L.C. Puckett, where services were conducted at 3 o'clock, Rev. F.N. Calvin of Waco officiating. Interment was made in the China Spring Cemetery. The active pall bearers were[? unreadable] Kepler, Dee Conger, H.B. Cupepper, John C. Davis, Henry Little, W.E. Moore. Honorary pallbearers: J.D. Sherwood, J.K. Rose, E.A. Sturgis, J.T. Brock, W.J. Neale, George K. McLendon, H.M. Boyd, R.E. Davis, C.S. EIchelberger, Alex Higginbotham, Jack Ringer, M.D. Dugger, H.C. Schaeffer, Lee Dugger, John W. Baker, Will Lockwood, R.D. Culpepper, William Webb, Joe Hawkins, Dr. A.F. Sontagg. Many Wacoans attended the funeral, Mr. Kennedy being well known here, since he had resided in McLennan county for half a century.
