ADA - Services for Estelle H. Berger, 87, Ada, are 1 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the Rev. John D. Norvell will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Berger died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at her home. She was born June 27, 1917 at Columbus, Montana to Clarence Hicks, Jr. and Mildred Kelso Hicks. She
attended school in Montana and graduated from Ponca City High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.

She married Dr. E. Stanley Berger on March 19, 1944 at the St. Paul's Cathedral Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker, a member of All Souls Episcopal Church, a member of the Faculty Wives Club of the
University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where she served as Past-President. She was a Director of Sunday School with All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City, and a volunteer with the Mercy Hospital and
University Hospital Gift Shop.

She moved to Ada in September 1999 from Oklahoma City.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. E. Stanley Berger, of the home; two daughters, Julie Freid, Tulsa and Dr. Sally Berger, Ada; two grandchildren, Audrey Freid, New York City, N.Y., and Sarah Berger, Coeur D Alene, Idaho; two
sisters, Harriet McCaleb, Sacramento, Calif., and Marion Parlette, Greenville, N.C.; special friends, Kurt and Donita Ray, Bobbie Holland and Connie Brown.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stanley Berger in February 1999, and a sister, Virginia Neavill in March, 1988.
