He was born March 16, 1930, in Fremont, to the late Arthur J. and Luelle May (Beard) Bradford. In 1950, he married Lucille J. Schultz, who preceded him in death in 1995. He later married Lois (Bouyack) Carnicom on May 2, 1999, in St. Mark Lutheran Church, Fremont. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Don (Cheryl Marie) Karr and Cynthia May Preston, both of Fremont; a son, Joseph L. Bradford of Fostoria; two step sons, Kevin Carnicom of Toledo and Kent Carnicom of Fremont; a step daughter, Karen Heater of Fremont; a brother, George W. Bradford of Bowling Green, Ky.; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Brockway.
Mr. Bradford, a 1949 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, was a semi-retired electronic technicial with La Mar Joseph's TV and Appliance.
He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where he served as vice president of its Church Council and was a member of its choir. He also served as treasurer of the NorthWest Ohio Amateur Astronomers Club.
He enjoyed golf, tennis, music, computers and researching geneaology.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mark Lutheran Church, where his body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary, Fremont.
Memorials may be made to the church.
