Funeral services for Richard Edwin Carnes, 72, of 2314 Lakeland ave., who died Monday morning while working in the garage workshop at his home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Schroeder funeral home.
The Rev. A. H. Lambright, pastor of Plymouth Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
Deputy Coroner Samuel Morris Jr., said Mr. Carnes died after suffering a stroke. He said no inquest will be held.
Mr. Carnes was a supervisor at the Madison Kipp Corp. until is retirement. He was a Madison resident for 45 years.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Wilbur R., Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Garrod, San Antonino, Tex., and three grandchildren.
