JANE HUTTON CURRIE was born in 1840 in Scotland to John Hutton and Margaret Burns Hutton. Her mother died in 1845 when she was 5 years old. She was raised by her father and step-mother Ann. Her time and place of immigration is not known, but family members know that she married a sea captain, S. Currie. The couple had two daughters, Jean and Lizzie.

Daughter, Jean Currie married a Birchell and had a son David who lived in Rhode Island. Her daughter, Lizzie married Elwood Dunn, and she lived in Philadelphia and Seattle, Washington, Lizzie's daughter was Betty Dunn who married a Mr. Albers.

Jane Currie died on Febuary 10, 1901 in Brooklyn, New York and is buried in Green-wood Cemetery Lot No. 28307 grave No 334, and she was moved in June of 1903 to Lot 31393 section 193 Grave 3.
