Mr. Henderson, 90, a former resident of Columbia, died yesterday in a Spartanburg nursing home.
Married to the late Catherine Wyman Henderson, he was born in Aiken, a son of the late Daniel Sullivan and Lily Ripley Henderson.
He was a graduate of Davidson College, an early merchant of Columbia, a partner of Henderson-Sudan Hardware Co. and an employe for many years of Gibbes Machinery Co.
Mr Henderson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward M. Craig of Columbia; two sons, Daniel S. Henderson IV of Spartanburg and Hastings W. Henderson of Columbia; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
