Missouri Telegraph-1872:

William H. Thomas proposed to furnish "choice fat" mutton deliver to the Asulum twice a week, in quantities of 300 pounds or more each delivery, at eight and one-half cents per pound.

Callaway County Immigration Society:

The board of advertising is now advertising the county extensively and already the president is receiving inquiries in regard to land.

Those wishing to dispose of their land will find it to their interest to leave a description with the president or secretary. As the Constitution makes the duty of the president to convey Immigrants over the county to look at farms and make their selection.

The Missouri Telegraph-1914:

W.H. Thomas, one of the oldest citizens of Fulton, died at the age of 87 years and he had said to us a few days ago that he was just the age of Fulton, as he was born the year Fulton was established.

Mr. Thomas was the father of Collier Thomas of Carrington and Sam Thomas, living in Columbia.

Mr. Thomas was born and raised in Callaway County and while he had frequently of late given his age as 87 his son says he was born in 1838.

Funeral services from his home on Jefferson Street Tuesday morning.

William Henry Thomas, age 86, of Fulton, Missouri died at 2:30am on May 25, 1914 at his home.

Dr. E. Bailey, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Arteriosclerosis. Informant was G. Collier Thomas of Parrington, Missouri.

William was born October 12, 1827, in Callaway County, Missouri, the son of George Henry and Evelyn (Nichols) Thomas, both born in Kentucky. He was a widower. William was a farmer.

Arrangements were under the care of E.W. Herndon Furniture Store and Undertaking Company in Fulton. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetary.
