She is survived by a daughter and son: Joyce married to Calvin Abers, Osakis, MN and Rev. Dennis J. Troutman, Hopewell; also five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one sister: Naomi Kay, Port Charlotte, FL.
Mrs. Troutman was a lifelong resident of the Riddlesburg and Hopewell Area.
She was a member of the Riddlesburg Church of the Brethren since 1938. Her Christian faith kept her strong. She served as Sunday school, Superintendent, Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman of the church board.
She was employed as a teenager at the A&P Riddlesburg and later in life at Newberry's Five and Dime, Chambersburg; Quality Manufacturing, Saxton; Clara's Flowers, Saxton; and worked as clerk/carrier for the Altoona, Six Mile Run and Riddlesburg Post Offices. She retired after twenty years as postmaster at the Hopewell Post Office.
She was a member of the Ladies Aide Society, previously serving as Secretary.
Mrs. Troutman enjoyed listening to W.J.S.M. Christian radio, where she would here her favorite hymns. She enjoyed crocheting, word search books, watching Lawrence Welk shows, talking on the phone with relatives and friends, making Christmas cookies and shipping them to the grandchildren every year, watching birds and wildlife around the house, listening to "Faithful Expressions" singing her favorite hymns. She cherished her visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the annual visits from her daughter Joyce.
The funeral service was held at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim McIntyre and Rev. Dennis Troutman officiating.
Burial was held privately at Bethel Cemetery, Tatesville, PA.
