Fred W. Pieratt Services Held

Funeral services were held for Fred Willis Pieratt Sr. at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. The Chaplain of Veterans Foreign War officiated.

Mr. Pieratt was born on Jan. 6, 1894 in Santa Anna, Texas an died on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster.

Mr. Pieratt was a World War I Veteran. He was married to Frances on Dec. 2, 1920 in California. He came to California 48 years ago and has been in the Antelope Valley for nine years.

He is survivived by wifr, Frances, of the home 37311 47th St. E., Palmdale; sons, Fred Willis Jr., Portland, Ore., James Dublin of Denver, Colo,; brother Emzy of Texas; sisters, Cora Pearson, Bonnie Curray, Mady Hunter, Myrtle Anderson all of Texas, and Rohde Walker of Los Angeles.

Six grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
