Charles E. Davis, 52, of rural Strasburg, died Sunday in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
He was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Washington County, Indiana, a son of William and Elizabeth Edmunson Davis. He married Shirley Sims. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Merlyn of Dallas, Tex.; four daughters, Debbie Stofer of Georgetown, Ind., and Kristi, Kelli and Melody, all at home; two brothers, William Glen of Charleston and George of Tacoma, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Mr. Davis was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Ash Grove Christian Church, near Windsor.
