Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday-March 1, 2012-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
Melecio was born on August 20, 1922 in Seboyeta, New Mexico and he passed away on February 26, 2012 in Grants, New Mexico. He was retired from Cibola County.
He is survived by his loving wife: Pricilla Sandoval Salazar of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Pat Salazar and wife Amber of San Rafael, New Mexico, Robert Salazar of Grants, New Mexico, Gloria Lopez and husband Bobby of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rita Baca of Grants, New Mexico, Tony Duran of Milan, New Mexico and Ricky Duran of Grand Junction, Colorado; 10 Grand Children and 6 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son: Patrick Salazar; Mother: Eloisa Salazar; Brother: Permilio Salazar and Sister: Cora Olguin.
Pallbearers will be:Anthony Salazar, Tony Duran, Lawrence Gonzales, Clarence Marez, Alfred Olguin, Patrick Salazar.
