Maybell Elenora Lyman(1919-2012)
MOUNT HOLLY - Maybell Elenora Flowers Lyman, 92, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Gaston County to the late Francis Augustus and Nora Clemmer Flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Z. Lyman; and two children, Terry Lyman and Doris Costner.

Maybell is survived by her son, Steve Lyman and his wife Becky of Mount Holly; and by her daughter, Diane Ledford and her husband Arthur of Bakersville; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Tuckaseegee Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lyman will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jason Marlowe officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
