RALPH FLEMING Sr
MANCHESTER - Ralph Frederick Fleming Sr., 69, died at his home in Manchester Depot Wednesday.
He was born in Manchester Depot March 19, 1895, son of Clarence and Lillian (Reed) Fleming.
A lifelong resident of Manchester Depot, he was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society. He was employed by Healey's Store at the Depot for 35 years. Before his retirement in 1959 he spent five years as a assistant custodian in the Manchester Elementary School.
Survivors are his wife, the former Ethel DeMars; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Hanlon, Mrs. Elizabeth Nichols and Mrs. Katherine Sendra of Manchester Depot and Mrs. Virginia Derby of Albany, N.Y.; five sons, Ralph Jr. and Donald of Manchester Center, Reed of Manchester Depot, C. Richard of Minneapolis, Minn., and Thomas of New Haven, Conn.; 26 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard of Rutland, Morris of Brattleboro and Clifford of Manchester Depot and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 am in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester by the Rev. Donald C. Kelly, rector. Burial will be in Dellwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center Friday from 7 to 9 pm.
