LAWN – Alma Zimmerle Atwood, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 20, 2004, in an Abilene hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Lawn Baptist Church with the Reverend Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in Dewey Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Atwood was born June 19, 1916, in Lawn, to Oscar and Lillian Norris Zimmerle. She married Neil V. 'Skeezix' Atwood November 9, 1940, in Ovalo and was a lifelong resident of the Lawn community. She was a homemaker and a member of Lawn Baptist Church. Her parents, her husband, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Maxine Poindexter, Lucille Herring and the staff of Hospice of the Big Country.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Blankenship and husband Alvis of Lawn; three granddaughters, Angela Abbott and husband Jeff of Abilene, Darla Quinney and husband Ronald of Tuscola, and Alesha Willis and husband Larry of Goldsboro; eight great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
