* Young Louise Cowdry was a red-headed orphan child, of Irish descent, born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised by Catholic Nuns.
* Louise was my Great-Grandmother, and passed away more than 100 years ago now, but my Grandmother, Susie Villa Albers, Louise's daughter, lived to the ripe old age of 94, and I was privileged to know her well.
* I can recall the story my Grandmother told about the night that her Mother passed away. Grandmother was married to Val Albers who was registered in the Los Angeles City Directory, 1909, as a Box-maker, by trade, and together they had 2 year old Stella Albers (Gambina/Gray) and 4 year old Lillian Albers (Shaw). They were buying a house at 5210 Hooper Ave. in Los Angeles, CA. Her mother had taken ill, and came to stay with my Grandmother. On the night that Louise passed away, my Grandmother was in her bedroom and Louise was on the sofa in the living room asleep. In the middle of the night my Grandmother saw Louise enter her bedroom all dressed in white. She came over to my Grandmother's bed and sat at the foot and gave my Grandmother's toes a short little tweak. She didn't say a word. She got up and walked over to, opened the door of, and walked into the Clothes Press (closet), pulling the door closed behind her. My Grandmother got up, looked inside the Clothes Press and seeing that Louise was not there, she went out to the living room and found that Louise had passed away.
* I may be one of the only descendants that remembers this family story, so I wanted to put it in writing, and found no better place to do so than here, on my Great Grandmother's Find A Grave Memorial page.
* She had 10 children, 9 daughters (Augustina, Marie, Susie, Josie, Alice (was burned in a house fire as an infant), Evangeline, Jennie, (I don't remember the other 2 Daughter's first names) and 1 son (Mariano). Some with her first Husband, Pedro Villa, and some with her second Husband, Mr. John Cordero.
* God rest your Sweet Soul Great-Grandmother.
