JoAn was only recently diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma. Up until mid-June, she had been in very good health.
In addition to Bill, JoAn is celebrated by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mike Finger, of Bellingham and their three children, Emily, Wesley and Sarah; her son and "daughter-in-love," Mark and Stephanie Agnew, of Palo Alto, California and their two daughters, Alixanne and Hailey; and her son and "daughter-in-love," Drew and Theresa Agnew of New Hope, Pennsylvania and their three children, Murphy, Samantha and Will.
A memorial celebration will be held this coming Sunday evening (August 7th), 7:00 p.m., at the Squalicum Boathouse, Zuanich Point Park in Bellingham. The attire will be casual. Attendees will be encouraged to don their favorite baseball cap. At JoAn's request, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" will be sung.
Anyone who would like to make a donation in JoAn's honor is encouraged to do so with the League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom County (LWVBWC, P.O. Box 4041, Bellingham, WA 98227).
