US Congressman. He attended George Washington University, Washington, D.C., 1938 to 1939, the University of Idaho at Moscow, 1939 to 1942 and engaged as breeder of livestock, also in mining and logging. During the WW II he was an analysis and experimental flight test engineer for Boeing Aircraft, Co. Seattle, Washington. After the war he was member of the school board and Clark Fork Board of Trustees, serving as chairman, 1947 to 1950. He was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and Eighty-ninth Congresses, January 3, 1963 to January 3, 1967 and also served as a Department of the Treasury, consultant. In 1968 he resumed his ranching pursuits and was a member on the Clark Fork City Council until his death. His father Compton I. White was also a US Congressman from Idaho.
