Services Held For W'mson Native
Mrs. Lou Frances Sullivan Martin, 88, a native of Williamson County, died Saturday at a Nashville hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday at a Nashville funeral home. Dr. Athens Clay Pullias and Elbert Henry officiated, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville. Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Catherine Cooly Sullivan and was born in Williamson County January 23, 1881. She was Educated in the public schools here. On January 21, 1897. She was married to Granville W. Martin, who survives. She had lived in Nashville sense 1918 and was a member of Park Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her husband she is survived by several daughters, Mrs. E. M. Deen of Duck River, Mrs. J. S. Overton. Mrs. R. L. Truett, Mrs. Lewis Talbert. And Mrs. Dennie Smith. All of Nashville, Mrs. Mitchell Luckett of Oak Ridge, and Mrs. Milton Chardwell of Crossville; four sons R. G. Martin of Santa Fe, Willard Martin of Donelson, Erwin Martin of Memphis, and Howard Martin of Pegram; a sister, Mrs. N. G. Ragsdale of Trenton; a half-sister, Mrs. Lillie Hassell of Smyrna; and three half-brothers. Oscar and Alex Warf of Franklin and Ed Warf of Santa Fe; 28 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
