Marion Louise Abramson was born in Oxford, Nebraska on October 18, 1918, the daughter of August and Katie (Albrecht) Schleusener, the only daughter of four children. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford on November 24, 1918. She received her instruction for confirmation and was confirmed on June 12, 1932 at St. John's. While growing up on the farm, she attended rural schools near Oxford. During high school she worked for her room and board in order to attend school until her senior year. She attended one term at Kearney State College and then began her teaching career. Marion taught at rural schools for several years and then taught at Mascot, Mitchell and Lexington. On June 25, 1944, Marion was married to John Abramson in Oxford. They lived in Sidney for several years. In 1950 the family moved to Kimball which would be their home for many years. After the boys were older she returned to the teaching career and also spent several years helping at Abramson Accounting Office.
Survivors include her sons Bob (Susie) Abramson of Kimball, and Richard (Mary) Abramson of Castle Rock, Colorado; brother Richard (Elaine) Schleusener of Rapid City, South Dakota; grandchildren Michael Abramson, John (Tara) Abramson, Jill Abramson and Jeff (Marlee) Abramson; great grandchildren Isaac, Caleb, Chloe, Eli, Marah and Eden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son David, and brothers Dennis and Paul.
