Shirley M. Bashor, 83, of Drumcliffe Drive, Warren, Pa., passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.

Shirley was born August 6, 1928, in Feversham, Ontario, the daughter of the late John Alexander, and Sadie Mae Bravender Maxwell. Shirley was a graduate of Collingwood High School and obtained her teaching certificate in North Bay Ontario, Canada. She taught school in Windsor, Ontario and Trenton, Michigan. Shirley was a charter member of the Faith Methodist Church, in Trenton, Michigan, where she taught Sunday school. She was loved by her family and friends.

Shirley enjoyed traveling and living in many

places among them, Feversham, North Bay and Windsor Ontario, Trenton Michigan, Orchard Park NY, Medan Indonesia, Bergen and Stavanger

Norway, London England, Halifax Nova Scotia, Lawrenceville NJ., and lastly Warren, Pa. Even when away from home, Shirley's life was her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Bashor, whom she married on August 8, 1953, in Thornbury, Ontario; two sons, Dr. Steven Bashor and wife Kathy of Le Claire, Iowa, and their children, Whitney and Blake Bashor, Dwaine Bashor and his wife Martha of Branchville, Indiana and their children, Alexandra, Ian, Nathan and John, and daughter Stephanie Bidar of Warren Pa., and her son Kaled.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers, Mildred Eagles, Sadie Mae Lebofsky, Beatrice Ardiel, Norma Weir, Edna Hewgill, Ted Maxwell, Earl Maxwell, Wayne Maxwell and Royden Maxwell.

A family memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Market Street, Warren, on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10 a.m.., with Rev. Dr. Jeffery Sterling, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Maxwell, Ontario Canada, Cemetery.
