Blair man, aged 52, died at his home in Omaha Sunday night.
George Metzinger, aged 52, for many years a Blair resident, died Sunday evening of a heart attack in Omaha, his present home.
He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1884, and came to this county with his parents when a youth. He had followed the carpenter trade for many years, being skilled in that line. During the Florida land "boom" several years ago, Metzinger went to that state where he remained several years.
His only child is a daughter, Mrs. Kirby Cook of Omaha. A sister, Mrs. Roscoe Rhea of Pipestone, Minnesota, also survives.
Funeral servces were held at the Campbell Mortuary Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Thomas J. Reese of the Baptist church officiating. Interment was in the Blair cemetery.
