MORGANTON:
HAROLD DEAN HARRISON,62 of Morganton, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Born August 29, 1949 in Yancey County, he was a son of Florence Young Harrison of Morganton, and the late Floyd Russell Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, John Daniel Harrison Sr., and Mary Sue Myers. Harold is survived by a son, David Harrison of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughters, Jennifer Washburne and Talisha Stephens, both of Hickory; a grandaughter, Guyanna Nichole Bollinger of Morganton; and a sister Wanda Phillips of Yancey County. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 11, in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Jeff Beach officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour before the funeral.
