Actor. Marshal is best remembered for his role as 'Dr. David Trent' in the cult classic horror film, "The House On Haunted Hill" (1959). Marshal's other films include: "Day Of The Outlaw" (1959), "The Opposite Sex" (1956), "The White Cliffs Of Dover" (1944), "The Howards Of Virginia" (1940), "Irene" (1940), "Tom, Dick, And Harry" (1940), "The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes" (1939), "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" (1939), "The Road To Reno" (1938), "The Invisible Enemy" (1938), "Conquest" (1937), "Night Must Fall" (1937), and "The Garden Of Allah" (1936). He also appeared on television in, "Sugarfoot," "Wagon Train," "Rawhide," "M Squad," "Buckskin," and "Perry Mason." Marshal died of a heart attack on July 13, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, while appearing on stage in the play "Sextet" with Mae West.
