Mae was born July 7, 1926 at Orleans, Minn., to Wilbur and Frida (Grandquist) Clow. She attended school in Lancaster, Minn., and graduated from high school there.
Dec. 16, 1946 she married Raymond H. Jacobson at Grace Lutheran Church in Hallock.
She has been a member of Crown of Glory Church in Chaska since 1972. She was also a member of the Hallock Eagles Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Chaska.
Mae's biggest enjoyment was sending cards and letters to her friends and relatives. She never forgot anyone's birthday, sending to some individuals for 45 years. She loved to play Bingo, cards, and bowling with her wonderful roomate Lillian Koop. She did puzzle books and loved to read. Mae and her church circle also served loaves and fishes to the homeless for many years in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her daughter, Lana Jacobson (Craig Pearson) Hallock; three grandchildren, Michelle (Barry) Woinarowicz, Grand Forks, N.D., Stacy (Marc) Langen, Kennedy, Minn. and Nathan (Amber) Green, Drayton; great grandchildren, Sophie and Chloe Woinarowicz and Chase and Cade Langen; and two sisters-in-law, Patsy Clow, Hopkins and Marlys Clow, Onalaska, Wisc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Willie, Earl, Donnie, Jim, Ivan and Elmer and a sister, Ruth.
Memorial services were Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, 2 p.m. in the Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock. Interment was in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Rev. Galen Nodin presided.
Honorary pall bearers were Mae's Crown of Glory Church Circle.
