Surviving are two sons, Branch Jackson Carden, Jr., and James Newton Carden, Roanoke; her parents Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Goens, Roanoke; three sisters, Mrs. G. W. Reed and Mrs. C. P. Bryant of Roanoke, and Mrs. W. P. Shockley, Jr., Knoxville, Tennessee; and three brothers, Russell W. Goens and Cyril J. of Roanoke; Samuel C. Goens of Norfolk. Funeral 10 a.m. Tuesday from St. Andrews Catholic Church.
