Funeral services were held for Sara Nora Phelps West August 7, at the Schrader chapel in Wheatland. Mrs. West who was born February 15, 1878 in Dawson Springs, Ky., died suddenly Friday, August 3 in Venice, Calif.
Mrs. West came to Phillips County, Colo. in 1887 with her parents. She married Grant West in 1895, and they came to this community to make their home. Mr. West preceded her in death in 1920. In 1945 Mrs. West went to California where she had since resided.
Rev. Clifford Polson, Sr. conducted the services with burial in the Wheatland cemetery. Survivors are Mrs. Mabel Richards, a daughter, Venice, Calif., a granddaguther, Mrs. Marie Finn and three great grandchidren, all of Santa Monica.
Pallbearers were Dick Riley, Ross Donaldson, Gordon Drury, Lawrence Moulding, Wilmer Beran and Eli Miller.
