Obituary and card of thanks as they appeared in the Friday, March 7, 1950, issue of the Williamson County Sun.

Louis Fred Ischy, 76 years of age, resident of Strickland Grove community near Georgetown for the past 70 yrs, died at Georgetown Hospital and Clnic at 1:15 a.m., Saturday, having been ill for some time.

Mr Ischy was born in Geneva, Switzerland, February 3, 1874, and was united in marriage August 27, 1902, to Miss Sarah Gilmore, who survives him.

He is also survived by three sons, Fred, William and John Ischy, and two daughters, Mrs. Austin Salyer and Mrs. Walter Barker of Georgetown; three brothers, John, Adolph and Amiel Ischy, and five sisters, Mrs. Betty Brooks, Mrs. Edna Bohannan and Mrs. Julia Bohannan, all of Georgetown, Mrs Emma Streat of Taylor, and Mrs Lena Carringan of Roswell, New Mexico; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at the Davis Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Evangelist J. D. Pinkerton of the Church of Christ conducted the services, and burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Flower girls were Mable Ellen Ischy and Delores Tomlinson, granddaughters, and Shirley Perriraz and Elnora Perriraz, nieces.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Eugene Salyer, Wilburn Barker, Joe Barker. R.V. Barker, Louis Fred Ischy Jr. and Elvin Ischy.

Mr. Ischy came to Texas when he was a lad at the age of seven years, and all through these years he was known for his kindness towards his family and many friends and always was ready to lend a helping hand when and where needed.

Many relatives and friends will mourn the passing of Louis Fred Ischy, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew

Card of Thanks-
We wish to thank all of those who were so kind and thoughtful during the illness and at the time of the death of our husband and father, Louis Ischy, and for the beautiful flowers. Especially do we wish to thank Dr Rice, Dr. Gaddy, the nurses and others of the hospital staff.
