MARGARET E. SOZA, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, January 31st, 2012. She left a legacy of faith, devotion, love, and music to her family and friends . She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Antonio V. Soza; her children: Dr. Anthony Michael Soza, PhD (Candace), Maj. (Ret) Mark Anthony Soza (Kathleen), Suzan Cecile Soza (Daryn), Margo Antoinette Soza (Bill); her grandchildren: Anna Carol McConnell (Brian), Peter Daniel James (Pamela); her great-grandchildren: Everette Daniel James and Audrey Kaelyn James. Born on June 10, 1926, Margo experienced the Great Depression and the war years in Southern California. In 1945 she sang for the USO. She pursued a short career in entertainment before marrying Antonio V Soza. She and Tony were married April 21, 1951 at St. Mary's Church in Los Angeles, CA. Most recently she attended Christ The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Adelanto. While residing in Palmdale, California in the 1970-80s, she was involved in the Republican Assembly AV Chapter, Palmdale Republican Women's Club Federated, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the GOP Central Committee as an associate member, and served as Chairman of the 34th Assembly District organization. She also served as an alternate delegate to the California Electoral College Her years in Helendale, California, were highlighted by her involvement with the Silverlakes Entertainers where she was a charter member. Where she performed in many of their productions for almost twenty years. Final services for Margo include: Monday, February 6, 2012: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rosary and Closed Casket Visitation at Victor Valley Mortuary, 15609 11th Street, Victorville, CA 92395, 760-245-8164 (corner of 11th and 'C' St). Tuesday, February 7, 2012: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Funeral Mass, Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 17900 Jonathon Street, Adelanto CA 92301 2:30-3:00p.m., Internment, Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 2200 East Avenue 'S' Palmdale CA 93550. "Mom, we thank you for everything you taught us and all of the love and devotion you gave to each of us, especially your faith and your music. You live in our hearts and we will see you again in Heaven" Per Margo's request, in lieu of flowers, please donate to: St Anne's Outreach, 155 N.
