Marion was born, 1, July 1903 in Indiana. He was the son of James Oscar (1874-1974) he lived 100 years) & Lillie Mae Frances (Bader) (1875-1957) Bailey.

In the 1920 Census he was 17 years old and living at home with the family, his parents and 3 brothers; George, Glen, Johnson and a sister Ruth, in Trego Lincoln Montana.
He was married about 1931 to Mary "Leona" Neidigh.
In the 1940 census they were living in Gresham, Multnomah County, Oregon. Marion and Leona were the parents of one daughter and two sons. At that time Marion was a truck driver. Leona's brother Charles Neidigh was living with them.
Marion's brother, George married Lucille A. (Neidigh) Bailey the sister of Marion's wife Leona. Two brothers married two sisters.
Marion is buried beside his wife Leona in the Douglass Cemetery, Troutdale Oregon.
