Medelle H. Adams, age 87, of Holly Springs died on January 30, 2012 at The Oaks Care Center in Pineville, Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be 10:am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

A native of Bonami, Louisiana, she was a lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas.

Medelle and her husband Jim, were the owners and operators of Holly Springs Grocery Store for over 14 years. She was the former President of WMU and was a very active member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She and Opal Perkins started the church library were she served as the librarian for many years.

She is predeceased by her parents Jubal and Mae Henderson, five sisters, Selma, Hattie Mae, Earline, Myrtie, Maye Ola and three grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jim Adams and wife Pat of Pineville, Louisiana, daughter, Judy Clark and husband Tommy of Holly Springs, one brother Tommy Henderson and wife Peggy of Port Arthur, Texas, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
