Wanda Dominik Obituary
Wanda A. Dominik 1925 - 2012 CHICOPEE - Wanda A. (Kudla) Dominik, 87, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Birch Manor Nursing Home in Chicopee. She was born on January 10, 1925 in Chicopee and was a life-long resident. Wanda was the daughter of the late John Kudla and Anna Bawol. She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr and a member of the Rosary Society, Chicopee Police Wives' Club, former member of the Jolly Diners, Polish Women's Civic Club, and Polish National Alliance 2105. Wanda was a great seamstress, and enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her impatiens garden in the backyard, and decorating the tree in her front yard for all seasons and holidays. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Walter L. Dominik; three sons, Richard Dominik and his wife, Beverly of West Springfield, John Dominik and his wife, Bernice, of Chicopee, and Nick Dominik also of Chicopee; one daughter, Marilyn Roy and her husband, Jerry of Chicopee; three sisters, Matilda Cierpial, of Chicopee, Marion Anderson and her husband, Harold, of Chicopee, and Rose Heston of CA; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Wanda is pre-deceased by two sisters, Bertha Gauthier and Stella Sawa. Wanda's funeral is Friday, February 3, 2012 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St., in Chicopee. Her burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30.
