|Death: ||Feb. 8, 1913|
Aged 72 years
Enlisted in the 7th U.S. Cavalry on 19 October 1873.
At the time of the Battle of the Little Big Horn he was a private in Thomas Weir's Company D. He no doubt was with his company when Weir disobeyed Benteen's orders to not go to attempt to help Custer. They were driven back under fire from the indians to Reno Hill, where they fought out the remainder of the battle.
