Kirby Carlton, age 87, of Louisburg, Ks passed away Feb. 8, 2008.

Kirby was born Dec. 18, 1920 in Parthenon, Arkansas to Charles and Bernice Swain Carlton.

He served his country in World War II. Living most of his life in the Spring Hill, Ks and Belton, Mo. areas, Kirby worked for 38 years for Bendix as a machinist before retiring.

After retiring he was very active in the Spring Hill Senior Center volunteering and delivering food.

Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, by two brothers and seven sisters.

He is survived by his daughters; J.C. of Osawatomie, KS, J.C. and her husband B. of Gardner, KS, J.M. and her husband R., of Harrisonville, MO., and J.C. of Belton, MO. And by his son J.C. and his wife D. of Harrisonville. Also by 11 grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and by a sister C.D. of Harrison, Ark. and a brother H.C. of Kansas City, MO.
