The funeral service for Clara (Maxine) Weidner, 74, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Ames Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Nance officiating. Burial will follow in Isabella Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born in Oklahoma to Mason and Olive Wardick Stambaugh on April 19, 1936, and died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She attended Lacy schools and graduated from Lacy High school.

On Jan. 31, 1953, she married Orval Dean Weidner. They lived in Cheney, Kan., and Lincoln, Neb., where Orval was a dairy herdsman. Then they moved to Wichita for 19 years before moving to Ames for 10 years. They next lived in Isabella and later Ames, where Maxine was a CMA nurse aide at Fairview Fellowship Nursing Home until retirement. She was a member of Ames Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval, on Jan. 1, 2007, and two sisters.
