PENNINGTON, David Freeman, 60, of Narrows, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at his home. He was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on December 1, 1941, and was the son of Clatie Alice Meadows and the late Clyde Edward Pennington.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Pennington of Narrows; two sons and their wives, Tony and Virginia Pennington, and William and Angela Pennington, all of Narrows; one daughter and her fianc, Pamela Peck and Bucky Blankenship of Narrows; one brother, Robert Pennington of Pearisburg; seven grandchildren and a special friend, Tex Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pennington Cemetery in the Lurich Community near Glen Lyn. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
