MIDDLETOWN - Alvin Lee Kuykendall, a rancher
here, died Nov. 24 in Santa Rosa. He was 72.
Owner of Barney Oatfield's Garage in San Francisco for 30 years, Mr. Kuykendall retired and took up ranching here.
He attended Community Methodist Church and was on the
board of directors of Redbud Hospital for eight years. He
was born in Oklahoma and lived in Lake County 12 years.
Survivors include his wife Eunice of Middletown; his
mother, Ollie DeVore of Hayward; brothers Eugene of
Hayward and Warren of San Leandro; and sister Helen
DeVore of San Lorenzo.
Services were held Nov. 28 at Community Methodist
Church with burial in Middletown Cemetery. The Rev. Cyn-
thia Guggemos officiated and Jones and Lewis Clear Lake
Memorial Chapel, Lower Lake, was in charge of
arrangements.
