Patricia Ann "Patti" Knawa, age 68, passed away Friday May 21, 2014 at home in Meridian, Idaho, surrounded by members of her loving family. She passed from lung cancer.
Patti was born in Clinton, Indiana, on October 28, 1935 to David and Ann Patrick, her parents, who are deceased. She was born in Southern Indiana, and moved to Chicago with her family in the 1940s. She met her husband Robert at Kelly High School in Chicago. They were married in October 23, 1954, Chicago, Illinois.
Patti enjoyed art, playing bridge, and an occasional round of golf with close friends. Often involved with the church, she organized Catholic Youth Organization activities, and developed and taught religious education classes. Patti was a treasured support staff member at Argonne National Laboratory West, at the INEEL, west of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was also a real estate agent.
Patti is survived by her husband Rob, of Meridian Idaho; daughter Deborah Kovach; sons Lee and David, and two grandchildren, Nick and Megan Kovach, all of whom live in the Puget Sound region of Washington State.
A Wake was held at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St., Meridian, Idaho, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Monday evening, May 24, 2004 for family and friends.
A Vigil service will be held Tuesday evening, May 25, 2004, at 7:00 PM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, (corner of Meridian Rd. and Chinden Blvd). Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at 10:00 AM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, father Timothy M. Ritchey will officiate. Patti's final resting place will be at Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
