Mrs Dora Smith, RFD 3, Trenton, a lifelong resident of Livingston and Grundy counties died early this morning at Wright Memorial hospital, Trenton. She was 80. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Blackmore Whitaker Funeral Home in Trenton with the Rev Beecher Shrum of Trenton officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at the May cemetery south west of Chula. Mrs. Smith was born in Grundy County, Aug. 21, 1889, the youngest of 14 children and is the only survivor of Charles Tolle and Mary (Sebastian) Tolle. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist church. On Aug. 23, 1908, she was married to Ellis W Smith of Livingston County in Trenton. Mr. and Mrs. Smith farmed in Livingston County and later in Grundy County until his death, Jan. 29, 1968. Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Buford (Helen) Long, RFD 3, Trenton and two granddaughters, Mrs. Connie Eads, Chillicothe and Mrs. George Boone, San Diego, Calif. She also leaves two great grandchildren.
