Walter R. Stubbs
Walter R. STUBBS, 71, Culver, died unexpectedly at 4 p.m. Thursday at a farm owned by him and his brothers at Rt. 1, Monterey.
He was born Sept. 16, 1910 at Beaverton, Mich., to Frank L. and Dorabelle WOLFE STUBBS. He was a retired farmer and a World War II veteran. serving with the U.S. Army in Europe. He also was a member of the Zion Gospel Chapel, Kewanna.
Surviving are two brothers, Ivan and Carl [STUBBS], both of Culver; three sisters, Glendolyn DeMONT, Bremen; Mattie BARTH, Mishawaka; and Loretta BRADWAY, Akron. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Services will b e at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home at Kewanna. Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery, near Kewanna. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saurday.
