Prominent West Point
Man dies Tuesday
Funeral rites for Mr. Nathan L. Atkinson, prominent West Point citizen who died suddenly at his home Tuesday afternoonm, were held at his home at 4 p.m., Wednesday. Rev. Hoke H. Shirley conducting the services. Interment was in Marseilles cemetery, members of the West Point Rotary club acting as honorary pall bearers. Schnedl-Jones, funeral directors, were in charge.
Mr. Atkins was a member of the First Baptist church of West Point, and was a highly respected citizen and a leading business man of this section.
He is survived by his wife, three children, Nathan, Jr., Joe and Georgia Atkinson and a sister, Mrs. Thos. Mitchem, of Birmingham.
