At the time of his death he was a hoist engineer for Nevada Porphyry Mines Company.
Survived by his widow Jennie Anderson and son John Anderson, both of Round Mountain.

TONOPAH-Nev., May 28- Death claimed Anton O. Anderson, Nye county mining man, at his Round Mountain home early Monday morning. He was stricken suddenly as he completed his night shift as hoist engineer for the Nevada Porphyry Mines Company. He died a few minutes later at his home.

Born in Norway 53 years ago, he came to the United States with his parents while still a youth. He began his mining inteests in Angels Camp, Cal., learning his profession of hoist engineer in that mining camp. In 1906 he followed the mining rush to Goldfield, later moving to Tonopah with his family. For the past 3 years he had been employed in Round Mountain.

He was prominent in fraternal circles and was a member of the Masonic order and of the Shriners.

He is survived by his widow, Jennie Anderson and his son, John Anderson, both residing in Round Mountain. Funeral services will be held in Tonopah with interment taking place in the Tonopah Cemetery. *Source- Reno Gazette-Journal, May 28, 1936, Page 14
