Eulah Vienna Esperence Rowan, born 17 Jun 1898 at Tyronza, AR, dau of William Andrew Rowan and Frances Matilda Hand. Eulah, in later years, shortened the spelling of her name to Ula. She married Jerry Cherry Young at Memphis, TN on 20 Feb 1916. Ula died at Santa Cruz, CA on 4 Jun 1976. Her attending physician was her grandson Larimore Cummins. Jerry and Ula were first buried in the Old Palmdale Cemetery, but when their son Paul Larimore died and could not be buried next to his parents, both Jerry and Ula were moved to the New Palmdale Cemetery (Desert Lawn Memorial Park) about a mile to the south. They had four children: Jerry Rowan Young, b 23 Apr 1917; Betty Jo Young, b 7 Jun 1921; Paul Larimore Young, b 1 Jun 1923; Gretchen Young, b 15 Feb 1925.
