Mr. Fisher lived in Pittsburg, KS from 1923 to 1966. He was trained in the metal crafts in the days of active lead, zinc, and coal mining in the Joplin-Picher-Pittsburg area, and was a boiler foreman on submarine construction during World War I at the Bremerton, Wash., federal shipyard. He retired a boiler foreman for Kansas City Southern Railway. James & Anna Fisher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July 1957.
