Last Thursday
A long time resident of the Harvard community, August F. Ruebsamen, died late Thursday at Mary Lanning hospital (sic) in Hastings where he had been a patient. He was born near Harvard and devoted the activities of a busy life in farming, retiring a few years ago. He was 76 years of age.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the United church (sic) with Rev. E. A. Katterhenry, pastor, in charge. Burial was in the Harvard cemetery (sic).
Mr. Ruebsamen is survived by his wife, Mabel; daughters, Mrs. Gladys Helzer of Harvard, Mrs. Leila Cosgrove of Omaha, Mrs. Arlene Ralston of Grand Island and Mrs. Frances Dieringer of Norfolk; sons, Raymond of Kenosha, Wis., and Frederick of Nagoya, Japan; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Albert of Harvard, Charles of Pomona, Calif., and William of Bloomington , and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Heller of Hebron and Mrs. Carrie Dimmick of Giltner.
